Coach Deb reveals her #1 Blog World Expo Secret

Deborah Micek here, reporting from the Blog World Expo 2009 floor. (not exactly LIVE, but this quickie video will give you a feel for what Blog World Expo is really all about.)

Blog World & New Media Expo in Vegas this past weekend was yet another mega success (at least for those of us who made it so by getting what we came for. Yeah, it’s good to have goals when you go to Blog WORLD, ya know what I’m sayin?)

With over 300 speakers on panels at Blog World Expo all in the span of just 3 days, it can get rather overwhelming. Especially if you go to all the sponsored tweetups, meetups and after parties sponsored by cool companies and people like @JasonFalls @Mashable, @AdventureGirl, @TechSet, @Mike_Stelzner, @MariSmith, @bhgre_sherry and so many others.

By the last day, at the last hour of the day, I found a nice corner in the back of the breakout area to put my feet up, laugh a little and just hung out with my good friends (and well respected colleagues) Denise Wakeman and Rich Brooks. (Yes, there’s a back-story to this reunion meetup – but we’ll save that for another post. mmkay?)

In this casual 3 minute video, Rich Brooks from Maine, asks me to reveal how I do it all.

How do I get from one event to another and keep on going? Motivational secret revealed in this video. (I Guarantee you, no other motivational speaker has EVER revealed this little known secret that only the MEGA successful know about.)

As you enjoy this fun, impromptu video interview that THE Rich Brooks originally created to send to his brother-in-law, you may notice “another layer” in the background. Actually a few Tribal factors are also seen throughout the video.

Ok, that’s all I’m saying. I’ll leave the rest of the clues and social media tribal customs for friends, fans and tweeps to uncover in the video and reveal in the comments below. (Be sure to add your Twitter handle!)

Do you notice the Tribal language and customs of Tweeters in the video? Let’s just say, in casual, conversational interviews like this, there are many other layers and lessons to learn from – if you dig beneath the surface, and ask the right questions when they pop up in your mind. Ya’ know, the smart questions like, “WTF is that?!” #LikeTheLongAssHashtags and shtuff like that.

Over & Out,
Deborah Micek
AKA: @CoachDeb

PS: We also touched on a hot topic discussed at Blog World Expo (otherwise known as #BWE09), which was: “Sponsored Conversations“. With the FTC regulations coming into play on Dec 1, 2009, it’s a topic we all need to be aware of. And we address it in this video in our usual, irreverent fashion: indirect, and with humor. Feel free to share the real business lessons and your thoughts on sponsored conversations in the comments below. I’d love to hear your take on it.

PPS: While The Rich Brooks from Maine has a wide array of credentials, including being the President of flyte, and Fast Company Expert Blogger, he’s best known for his accomplishments in the Twittersphere for inventing the supervillain named The Sandwich Svengali. (More on that story at the upcoming SXSW “conference” in Austin, Texas.)

Catch Coach Deb with Gary Ambrose tonight 10pm EST

Aloha,

Tonight you have a rare opportunity to join me in a very intimate chat with the infamous Gary Ambrose & Keith Wellman (no catch, no fee) to talk about “The Common Thread to Success.”

I’ve heard about Gary Ambrose for years ever since I got involved with Stephen Pierce in the internet marketing speaking circuit. Always wanted to meet him, but he was so behind the scenes, and we never seemed to go to the same events together. Until one fine spring day this past year in Orlando.

Actually – how about I save that story for tonight’s call?

Cuz here’s the thing … ever since I’ve been involved with online marketing, I’ve asked myself this one question over and over again, “What makes these top 10 gurus of the Internet Marketing world so successful?”

And Gary is willing to talk about that very question with me tonight on a call with my friends who join me. Here’s the page he set up for me (nice guy that he is – saving me time) so you can register for the call if you’re committed to showing up.

Oh, and don’t dare whine about how “it’s Friday nite Debbie” cuz I don’t wanna hear it. Gary is a rare dude to get a hold of, so miss this call at your own expense. I’m just stoked that I finally nailed down this guy – this Jon Lovitz impersonator. (ooh I so hope Gary Ambrose doesn’t see this post now – or I will live to regret saying that.)

Heck – ya know what? Help me PROVE to Gary Ambrose that he really IS Jon Lovitz tonight! Will you?

Here’s the video of the famous Jon Lovitz on a very funny Friends episode (ignore the bad recording clip) and then compare it to Gary’s call tonight. And if you agree with me, that Gary IS Jon Lovitz – send him a tweet during the call @Gary_Ambrose and tag it #Lovitz – (Do this, and you know you’ll win my undying devotion and affection :)

Actually – that Friend’s episode “the one with the stoned guy” on YouTube was too awful to use – so enjoy this video with Jon Lovitz as “himself” instead. (warning: PG-13 rated)

ENJOY!

OH! Almost forgot!

Here’s the link to register for tonight’s 10pm EST call with Gary Ambrose and Coach Deb:

Success: What’s the common thread?

See you tonight!

PS: If you’re one of “The Lucky Ones” I’ll see you in Dallas with Gary Ambrose at his Gateway Seminar where I’ll be sharing the stage with the infamous Stephen Pierce himself! This link will get you VIP access to join me as my guest for FREE in DallasBut MORE importantly – it’ll give you a rare glimpse of Gary Ambrose in the video at the top so you can see for yourself that he IS Jon Lovitz! Riiiiight????!!!!

Demystifying Killer Keywords: the Replay, Process & Tools

If you missed the Killer Keyword Selection class on Wednesday, or want to re-listen to this hands-on action-generating session, this is for YOU! Here’s your access to the recap; including the audio replay, process overview downloads and resource summary.

Selecting keywords does not have to be a mysterious or complicated process. In fact, the entire process can be narrowed down to three steps:

  1. Be a Detective: Question, investigate, and think creatively
  2. Check your facts
  3. Test, track and modify

Three easy steps are all it takes to create a winning list of killer keywords.

But knowing how to select good keywords is only half the battle. Knowing how and when to use them in a blog post, on Twitter, or in any New Media channel is critical to your ability to turn keywords into cash.

Killer Keywords Explained

Your keyword mastery starts with a simple three-step process. Coach Deb recently guided participants of the Demystifying Killer Keywords telecast through the selection process developed for the Marketing-For-Life course by Tribal Seduction.

To get the most out of this call, be sure to follow these easy-peasy steps:

1. Start by snagging a copy of the Killer Keyword Selection Mini Playbook (because all work should be play!) excerpted from the full Tribal Seduction Marketing-for-Life Course: Module III.

Even if you’ve been through the process of selecting keywords for your Hub Site before, you’ll want to grab a copy of the Playbook and revisit your keywords periodically to ensure they’re up to date and relevant to your tribe.

2. Next, if you missed the live call, or want to re-listen and clean up your
notes  — just click play on the Marketing-For-Life logo below to
listen to the replay.

3. And finally — you’ve got to check out the Killer Keyword research tools and resources for our summary of free and paid keyword research tools.

AND REMEMBER — If you attended the Demystifying Killer Keywords class for subscribers (or you’re listening to the replay), you’re eligible for the SPECIAL DEAL on the Marketing-for-Life program — good ONLY until 11:59pm Friday July 10th!

BE SURE TO USE THIS SPECIAL LINK >> Marketing-for-Life LIVE! Special

Just be sure to act before Friday midnight! We guarantee it will radically transform the way you do business and teach you the secrets of covert marketing to sell more in the New Economy! ;-)
