How CHARM Builds Your Tribe; Street-Level Style
April 10th, 2008 · Filed Under: Tribal Seduction · Videos
The very simple CHARM Formula of Tribal Seduction is a 165-degree twist on “old school” sales formulas. You know, things like “always be closing,” or AIDA et al. This video shows the CHARM Formula in real-life action. Watch and see if you agree that business people who adhere to the “old school” formulas come off as nothing but Marketplace Molesters.
This is one of the most viewed videos in the world today. And when you watch it, you’ll see why. On the surface it’s one man giving away hugs. But what the video really reveals is even more powerful for entrepreneurs, business owners, and even affiliate marketers.
It’s a perfect example of Tribal Seduction in real-world action.
As you watch the video observe how:
- “free” to the general public is a tough sell
- social proof of the first hug recipients spreads like wildfire
- meeting the un-spoken needs, wants, and dreams of your Tribe is the key to success
- the Tribe rallies to defend the leader when people try to stop him
- and, the ultimate — - how AUTHENTIC emotional bonding is what creates power, profit, and raving fans
If you take the time to define who your Loyals really are. If you learn what their REAL wants, needs, and dreams are. And if you honestly take the time to develop a strategy for emotionally bonding with your Tribe while providing value — then you’ll see the CHARM Formula bring you success.

JP, I admire your sharp insight and ability to put into words how humans react to various stimuli and situations.
I also want you to know how much I am enjoying and learning from your and Deb’s coaching. If I can ever do anything for you, please let me know.

AWESOME! This is so truly inspirational as it REALLY pulls in that emotional connection. It shows just how powerful that emotional connection is once it is achieved. Connect with your Tribe and your Tribe will work with you, even when others don’t have the same beliefs.
Thanks for sharing JP.

WTH? is this Freaky Friday?
I guess in Australia - it IS!
I wake up grumpy only to find
JP posting about Free Hugs?!
This is something that I would’ve posted on
http://60secondMotivators.com
ok - I gotta admit - this video made me a
lil weepy (and i’m not that kinda girl)
Sad too how the world of “rules” in business
is much like the rule-followers in this video
how they try to strip away anything good,
warm, fun, or personal about business.
Meanwhile - it’s what people really want.
Final thoughts?
Business is ALWAYS Personal!

WOW! WOW! Did you hear that load POP! It was my head being pulled out into the sunlight!
THANK-YOU! I’ve read, re-read, listened and then read some more and until seeing this very simple video I was not able to get the electricity to the light bulb! WOW!
Now I’m back to the drawing board to re-think my approach.

@DrTodd and Forrest… welcome to my world. Glad you’re enjoying it.

You’ll find it’s twisted, it’s fun — and hopefully you’ll get a profitable gem here and there too.
Susie — mahalo for your kind words. You CHARM me.
