Tribal Seduction in Sydney: Marketplace Molesters vs. Tribal Seducers
December 7th, 2007 · Filed Under: Online Persuasion · Tribal Seduction Principles
What makes a Marketplace Molester? And how do Tribal Seducers act in contrast? Knowing the difference can set you up to attract crowds of raving fans… or be scorned and hated by the masses.
Here we’ve got some examples of a Marketplace Molester, Physical Spammer, and a legendary Tribal Seducer in and about Sydney.
Now with New Media… it’s easier than ever to be a Tribal Seducer. Why would anyone want to take the Marketplace Molester approach?
Have you seen them?
So know that you know what a Marketplace Molester looks like in the real world, can you think of some that you’ve seen online?
What about Tribal Seducers — online or off-line? I bet they’re fewer you can think of. But the ones that do pop to mind, you’re probably a fan of (or at least respect.)

What JP left out…
And here’s what JP didn’t share in the video…
We literally walked for MILES along Manly Beach, in Australia, where we must have passed at LEAST 50 restaurants, cafes and pit stops - yet other than my favorite chocolate cafe that we always visit when taking the ferry to Manly Beach - he could NOT decide where to eat that afternoon!
When it was WELL past lunch time, back and forth we walked along the strip - in the RAIN no less - back and forth trying to choose from 5-8 restaurants on the strip…
Finally - since we couldn’t make a decision on a place that we’d both like - we said - well - let’s just go back to the place where that man Basil invited us to join him when we 1st came into town a few hours earlier.
He was so welcoming, inviting, and NOT pushy - his exact words were, “Whenever YOU are ready - we’d love to have you join us.”
Now THAT’s Seduction Marketing!
I didn’t feel like i had to say NO to him at that time b/c I wasn’t hungry and we just arrived (kind of like when peeps just arrive to your web site…).
Instead - he simply greeted us w/ a warm smile, made eye contact, and told us about a few specials.
NICE!
And THAT is what ultimately affected our decision on where we’d spend our money for lunch that day. AND - every time we come back - guess who we’ll visit?
(other than the bald chocolate man - yummie!!! More on that in a post later this month…)

I couldn’t agree more…
Market Place Molesters should do some serious time in IM prison.
Loved the Physical Spammer. Great point that no one was even paying attention.
Even more important…
It sure didn’t look like he was having any fun. If I’m going to market, I want to have fun while I’m doing it.
Thanks for the real world examples that demonstrate what so many Internet marketers are doing.
You guys are well ahead of the game!

Hey Scott — good eye on that one.
Both marketplace molesters in the video looked like they were being kept there at gunpoint. Funny thing was, they looked embarrassed too — which means they still had a “conscious” and their souls had not yet been corrupted.
Too much longer in those positions and they’ll either burn out, or become desensitized to the abuse they perpetrate.
How will you know when that happens? Just like with internet marketers who continue down the marketplace molestation path — they’ll begin to defend their actions and intensify their attacks.
Sad, sad, sad… especially since it can all be avoided.
